you guys can get video and audio?
ReplyDeletewe lost sound, at least it is extremely weak.
ReplyDeleteThe sound was very loud and distorted at first. Now Geshe Dhargey is very quiet, but we can hear you clearly when you speak.
ReplyDeleteJanine
Is this on ustream?
ReplyDeletehi joy, if you did the registration, you should get a email with the link to video.... If you didn't, please send me a email info@dnkldharma.org
Deleteok i changed the mic to the more quiet but clear one. Please turn on you computer's volume. Also, in the video box of Ustream, if you tap "seven limb" you'll see the volume button appear on top of it.
ReplyDeleteJampa, could you please give us the link to the video so we can watch it directly on the YouStream website? If we have paid to see videos ad-free ($3.99/month), we need to watch the video on the YouStream website. We will still get ads if we watch it on the DNKL website. if anyone else wants to do this, sign up to watch the broadcasts without ads at http://www.ustream.tv/premium-membership
ReplyDeleteThank you!
this should be the link:

when we generate bodhichitta motivation do we visualize people we know personally or sentient beings everywhere from all 6 realms?
ReplyDeletehi cyndy, your question will be asked when we get to the topic.
DeleteWe can hear the students speak, which is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteany questios related to today's topic?
ReplyDeletegood night everyone
ReplyDeleteThe teaching was really informative. I liked the story about JeTsongKapa opening to shunayata after a retreat of painful prostrations.
ReplyDeleteWish I could have seen the whole thing, but the library closed at 8 pm. Next week being in NYC don't know where to access... NY City libraries are very different. I will try.
Lynn
Ustream is not on line tonight?
ReplyDeleteThe sound is very good. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteGood evening, could Geshe La go over the transition from viewing all phenomena with disgust with a renunciation mind, then being able to offer those same things as beautiful like flowers, food, jewels etc. in a mandala offering
ReplyDeleteJampa, it now sounds like someone typing loudly on the microphone. Do you know what that might be?
ReplyDeletethat's me... sorry.
DeleteCould Geshe-la please repeat what is the fourth immense object we should visualize during prostrations?
ReplyDeleteIf we make an offering of flowers or food on the altar how long should we leave it there? What should we do with it after we take it away?
ReplyDeleteGood evening. There is no sound from Geshe La, but the commercials are easily heard.
ReplyDeletesorry, my bad :) Thank you
ReplyDeleteAre you using two different microphones tonight? We can hear the students very well, but Geshe-la is too distorted, like he's talking too close to the microphone.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what's the problem. It's the same setting... I moved mic away from Geshe-la, but seems not changing anything :(
DeleteThank you very much for trying.
DeleteWhen I am in public and notice that I have just had a negative thought about someone, what is the best way for me to purify immediately in this situation?
ReplyDeleteGeshe-la just said that if you break the Pratimoksha vows, you will never achieve arhat status in this life. How was it possible for Milarepa to achieve this state, if this is true?
